All of us at StopScreamingPolly.com are “bird people”. We have owned, loved and hand raised numerous parrots, and we have tried countless training techniques, hired “expert trainers”, and purchased various devices to teach our pets not to scream for attention… all with limited success. We took it upon ourselves to develop more effective solutions that will help cure about 95% of all parrots of their bad screaming habits within just a few days. A lofty goal, but after countless tests we actually succeeded!
We realize that our products are somewhat revolutionary and controversial, but similar to canine “shock collars” which have become widely accepted as effective and humane training tools for dogs, our remote strobe light devices are designed to cause only mild discomfort and distraction to your parrot so that in the long run you will have a long and healthy relationship with your non-screaming feathered companion! We sincerely ask that you treat your parrot with respect and use our devices as little as possible to achieve the desired effects. Usually one short burst of flashing light for 3-5 seconds is enough to stop any bird from screaming, and if you use this training technique consistently for a few consecutive days you should see a decrease in the frequency of the problem bird’s screaming.
Note that it is important not to expose your pet to the flashing strobe light for prolonged periods of time as this may cause your bird unnecessary stress. A brief burst of flashing light for 3-5 seconds should be enough to harmlessly distract and train your bird. Always make sure that your parrot is screaming for attention, and is not in danger or injured before activating our training device. If your parrot is showing signs of significant stress including shaking, feather plucking, or sitting at the bottom of the cage, do not use these products and please consult with a vet immediately.
